Positioning

The company supplies realme Neo 3T to Russia, forinternational markets, the Neo 3 model is available. There are enough differences between them - different chipsets, memory sizes, screen sizes, chargers. The Neo 3 model is available for order from abroad, it has a number of advantages, in particular, fast charging in the kit - and you can choose from both 80W and 150W options. Despite the fact that the model appeared quite a long time ago, it is in demand among those who are looking for an interesting price / quality ratio, and recently received an update to Android 13 and the 4th version of realme UI.

Design, dimensions, positioning

The model is available in three colors. The black color is boring, but the other two are excellent due to the design.

For those who want to save the device, a case is included.

The dimensions of the device are typical for such a screen: 163.3 x 75.6 x 8.2 mm, weight - 188 grams. Due to the fact that the back has a rounding, the smartphone is perceived as very comfortable. Ergonomics are good, and there is nothing to complain about.

If you look at the front surface, you will see a worn, dirty protective film. The generic problem of all realme, this film quickly becomes unusable.

On the back there is a glass insert around the camera block, it is quite pleasant and painted in the color of the case.

The controls are located as follows. On the left side are the volume keys. On the right side is the on/off button.

On the bottom end you can see the USB Type C connector, there is a microphone and a speaker, the second microphone is moved to the top end. There is also a tray for two nanoSIM cards (the device does not support eSIM).

The top speaker is on the front panel above the screen. Stereo in this model was implemented, quite loud and well distinguishable.

The frame of the device is made of plastic, but there is no such feeling. The fingerprint sensor is built into the screen, it works quickly and without problems. But I prefer face unlock, I use it.

There are no complaints about the build quality of the device, everything is on the level, there is nothing to complain about.

Display

Briefly list the technical characteristics: 6.7 inches, 2412x1080 pixels (Full HD +), AMOLED, refresh rate 120 Hz, touch layer sampling rate 600 Hz, aspect ratio 20:9, pixel density 394 ppi, color gamut 100% DCI-P3, peak brightness 800 nits, AlwaysOn Display.

In the settings, you can always turn on the frequency of 120 Hz, or you can set it to turn on automatically, the second is preferable, since the battery power will be noticeably less.

I like the AoD feature, the splash screens and clock options are good. But if the device lies without movement for some time, the screen goes blank. I also note the low brightness in this mode, it is clearly not enough.

In the settings there is DC Dimming, flicker is reducedscreen, but the color rendition suffers, here you need to choose one thing. The device uses a separate engine to make photos and videos on the screen look brighter, its work is noticeable in the video.

I can’t say that the screen matches the flagships from Samsung or Apple. But for its price range, it is excellent, it has everything you need for life.

Use to adjust the brightness of the backlighttwo RGB sensors (as in flagships), brightness is adjustable in 4096 steps. Which, in my opinion, is definitely redundant, it is rather a figure for displaying technical capabilities, in life you will never see such a step in changing brightness.

In the sun, the peak brightness can reach 800 nits, the screen remains readable, everything is fine. But the film, of course, interferes, and it should be removed.

I like the display in this model, there is a little more than you usually find in devices of this price.

Battery

The built-in battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh. Included is an 80W Dart charger, in fifteen minutes you will get 55% of the charge, and in 32 minutes - all one hundred. It has been tested and it works in practice.

Speaking about the autonomy of the smartphone, if you takeaveraged indicators of mixed use without games and "heavy" software, it is quite realistic to get a day and a half of work with 5-6 hours of screen operation. If you slightly reduce the brightness and do not use wireless protocols, then you can get to the end of the second day of work from the outlet. The situation is already familiar, the indicators are adequate.

A lot of laptops were shown at CES.Some will go on sale soon, others will have to wait until May. However, already now it is possible to take a look at the clearing as a whole and understand what awaits us. And also to designate the most interesting models.

A flagship smartphone with all the benefits: a powerful Qualcomm processor, water resistance, durable glass, a camera lens with a variable aperture ...

Memory, chipset, performance

There are different options for memory, mine is 8/256 GB (UFS 3.1). The memory is fast, both RAM and SSD, which has a very good effect on system performance. Unfortunately, there are no memory cards at all.

Chipset MediaTek Dimensity 8100 (5 nm), its price / quality ratio is excellent. In synthetic tests, the device behaves like this.

In life, the model has proven itself well, and if you do not play heavy games at maximum settings, then the device will not heat up at all, it copes with all tasks with a bang.

Communication options

Support for 5G means that the device in the appropriate networks can produce maximum speeds. In Russia, it can be connected to the test zones of operators, it will work in them.

Also on board there is Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC is supported. I can’t say anything bad about navigation, the device determines your location well, there are no mistakes here.

Cameras

The main module is from Sony, and this is one of the advantages of the device (unlike the same GT Neo 2, where the camera is not so interesting). Removes the device decently for its class.

There are both HDR and AI, they noticeably recolor the pictures. Street mode is a shooting mode in which the camera applies additional filters.

  • More photos in the archive (zip, 200 MB)
  • Sample video (MP4, 48 MB)

The AI Color Portrait mode looks spectacular, allows you to highlight shades of red, blue or green when shooting a video, you can also take still pictures during video recording. In general, there are a lot of modes for photo and video shooting, whether it is recording on two cameras at the same time, the “Movie” mode with professional settings, or shooting the starry sky with a long exposure. There is where to turn around, and the camera software helps you quickly figure it out.

Accompanying the main lens is a mediocre “ultra wide” with stable operation and a tuned dynamic range. There is an additional two-megapixel macro sensor, which is very basic.

All the same, one front camera is used, the image quality is normal.

Software

Inside Android 13, on top is realme UI 4.0.A rather pleasant interface, there are no special frills in it, but you can use it comfortably, although in some places it is overloaded. Look at the interface examples.

realme UI 4.0 review on Android 13: what's new?

Briefly about the most important new realme UI 4.0 + a large overview of the shell with all screens.

Impression

There are no complaints about the quality of communication, everythingFine. The volume of the call is high, the vibrating alert is below average, it is not always felt. The presence of a chipset that is closer to flagships than to mid-budget solutions gives us a headroom in performance, and this is the main advantage of the device.

Unfortunately, the smartphone can only be ordered forabroad (choose only the international version), which leaves you without a guarantee. All other things being equal, you will gain in performance as a main camera, but void your warranty. For the money, this is a bright device (white or blue), it attracts attention. And for many people, due to the stripes, it is associated with the Adidas brand, and not at all with realme. This is such a strange perception. In a word, I recommend looking at it to everyone who is looking for an unusual and not too common smartphone on the market.
