LG introduced its concept of a smartphone with two displays, which is much cheaper than solutions with flexible screens. In the LG G8X ThinQ model, the additional screen is housed in a special advanced DualScreen case.

LG's new model installed OLEDFull HD + (2340 × 1080) display with a diagonal of 6.4 inches. The front-facing Quad Bayer 32MP camera is located in an elliptical notch on the top of the display. A fingerprint sensor is integrated under the surface of the screen.
The hardware of the LG G8X ThinQ smartphone workson an 8-core Snapdragon 855 chip. RAM is 6 GB, and the main - 128 GB, expandable with microSD. The main camera has two sensors: the main sensor is 12 megapixels (f1.8 / 1.4μm / 78˚) and the second wide-angle sensor is 13 megapixels (f2.4 / 1.0μm / 136˚) having an optical stabilization system and phase autofocus.

The case is protected by Gorilla Glass 6, classProtection against dust and moisture complies with IP68. Also, the model is certified according to class 14 of the US military standard MIL-STD 810G. Autonomous operation is provided by a 4000 mAh battery. The new model provides a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a QuadDAC DAC. The smartphone runs on a proprietary interface LG UX 9.0, based on Android 9 Pie. The weight is -192 grams, and the geometric dimensions are 159.3 × 75.8 × 8.4 mm.
