Researchers from American UniversityPurdue proposed an original method that allows the use of a prosthesis to perform numerous functions. Wearing special gloves on the prosthesis, it will be possible to partially return the opportunity to experience tactile perception.
The experimental glove is made fromnitrile (artificial rubber) and is coated with natural rubber. A flexible base “implants micro sensors capable of measuring temperature, pressure, hydration and other indicators of everything with which the glove will make physical contact. All received data is transmitted to a smart watch directly connected to the glove and sent to Purdue University servers.

Currently, high technology allows you to simulate artificial skin almost indistinguishable from the natural skin, and even able to transmit some tactile sensations.
