Sharp has announced the creation ofa professional 8K monitor Sharp 8M-B120C, capable of providing users with an "unprecedented level of detail." The huge diagonal of 120 inches, as well as the considerable price of the display, indicate the priority use of the device for the needs of business, research or medical institutions.
Giant monitor with a 3-meter diagonal (120inches = 304 cm) is equipped with Sharp's proprietary UV²A matrix, which provides 8K (7680 x 4320) resolution at a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz. The screen area is over 4 square meters, and the weight without stand is 187 kg. The frames around the perimeter of the screen are 27 mm.
According to the developers, the Sharp displayThe 8M-B120C displays 33 million pixels at a resolution so high that the human eye cannot capture it. Such parameters provide the possibility of using the device for professional purposes for TV studios, during scientific conferences, in medicine and the space industry. Screen brightness varies from 600 to 1000 nits with local dimming up to 2048 zones for high contrast.
The Sharp 8M-B120C received a hugenumber of connectors: 4 pieces HDMI2.0a (4x UHD = 8K), one HDMI 2.1 (48 Gbps), one TTL 9x HDMI. There is a VGA port and 3.5 mm audio jack. Audio is provided by four built-in 10W speakers and two 15W power. Energy consumption at maximum setting is 1.52 kW. The display will be launched on the market at a price of 151,640 dollars.
