Samsung showed the Galaxy Z Fold 5, but no one noticed

According to the South Korean edition of Naver, Samsung showed a prototype of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 at CES 2023, but almost no one noticed it.

A distinctive feature of the device, whichcan be seen already now, the gap has disappeared when folding. By comparison, the current Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a U-shaped hinge that fits the screen into a tight curve and leaves a small gap.

Sources also claim that the new prototype Galaxy Z Fold 5 looks thinner and lighter than the Fold 4. At the same time, the two halves of the display are now much closer to each other.

Recall that earlier sources also reported thatSamsung's new foldable smartphone will get a reduced crease on the display when opened. The announcement of the device is expected in August, as part of the traditional summer Galaxy Unpacked.
