Samsung used the CES exhibition not only to show new products to the general public, but also for meetings behind closed doors. For one such, plans were announced for naming a number of products.
Samsung plans to launch the next smartphone witha folding screen, the Galaxy Fold model successor, in a slightly modified form factor - more like the usual “clamshell”. The device, which was expected as the Galaxy Fold 2, will hit the market under the name Galaxy Bloom.
Combination of flower name and form factor,reminiscent of powder box, should emphasize the nature of the audience to which this product is oriented. Samsung has set a goal to win the hearts of women around the age of twenty. This design was inspired by the Lancome powder box, which was used by the grandmothers of these young ladies, but some decisions are worth immortalizing - why not this.
It is reported that the Galaxy Bloom will be the first smartphone with support for video in 8K format. In addition, the intention was voiced to release the device in versions for 4G and 5G networks.
Also mentioned are company plans forGalaxy S flagship lineup. The new generation will be unveiled on February 11th. There will be three devices, they will be called Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 + and Galaxy S20 Ultra. As predicted by earlier leaks, Samsung is thus marking a new decade and making life easier for customers by matching the generation number to the calendar year.
