Samsung presented new flagships Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + at a price of 850 euros (7 photos + video)

Without waiting for a traditional presentation on MobileWorld Congress 2021, scheduled for February, Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy Unpacked 2021 flagship lineup of three models: Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 + and top-end Galaxy S21 Ultra. A little later, probably in the second half of 2021, the Galaxy S21 FE model will join the Galaxy S21 family.

Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + have received verysimilar characteristics. Traditionally, for modern smartphones, models are released with an almost flat, slightly curved at the edges and almost bezel-less display. The developers tried to minimize not only the bezels, but also the round cutout for the front camera, which is traditionally for Samsung in the upper center of the display.

Meanwhile, the back of smartphones receivedsignificant design changes due to the original rectangular block, smoothly "growing" from the side surface of the smartphone. In some models, the camera block is highlighted with a color that differs from the color of the body. The camera module protrudes slightly above the main surface of smartphones.

Photo and video capabilities of the Galaxy S21 andThe Galaxy S21 + is the same for both the main and selfie cameras. Three sensors are installed in the main camera module in both models: ultra-wide-angle with a resolution of 12 Mp, 1.4μm, f / 2.2, wide-angle with a resolution of 12 Mp, 1.8μm, f / 1.8, OIS and telephoto at 64 Mp, 0.8μm, f / 2.0, OIS. The flash in both models is installed outside the camera module and is slightly offset to the central part of the back of the smartphone. The selfie camera in the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + models gets a sensor with a resolution of 10 megapixels, f / 2.2, 1.2 μm.

Smartphone securityfingerprint sensors are placed under the screen of Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + smartphones. Both models support 5G 5G networks. The surface of the displays is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. There is an NFC module. Smartphones run on the Android 11 operating system on the One UI 3.1 proprietary shell.

IP68 water protection will allowkeep smartphones waterproof when submerged for 30 minutes at a depth of 1.5 meters. The Galaxy S21 will go on sale with cases in four different colors: Phantom Gray, Phantom White, Phantom Violet and Phantom Pink. The Galaxy S21 + comes in three body colors: Phantom Black, Phantom Silver, and Phantom Violet.

The main model of the Galaxy S21 series smartphonereceives a screen with a diagonal of 6.2 inches, FullHD + (2400x1080 pixels) with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X matrix (421ppi), 1300 nits and a refresh rate changeable depending on the content in the range from 48 to 120 Hz.

Depending on the region for whichbasic smartphones Samsung Galaxy S21 are produced, the hardware part will work either on the flagship Snapdragon 888 or on the proprietary Exynos 2100 processor. According to the developers, the Exynos 2100 chip is in no way inferior to the Snapdragon 888.

The model doesn't get a 3.5mm headphone jack.There is also no possibility of expanding the memory using microSD cards. The Galaxy S21 will be available with 8GB of RAM (LPDDR5) and 128GB of storage, as well as 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Autonomous work is provided by a 4000 mAh battery, which supports fast charging with a power of 25 W, wireless at 15 W, and also works in reverse mode.

Pre-orders for the Galaxy S21 starting at € 850 starting on January 15th. The smartphone will go on sale on February 29.

Samsung Galaxy S21 + gets a bigger onedisplay and battery with increased capacity. The screen of the model will operate on a Dynamic AMOLED 2X (394ppi) matrix with a resolution of 1080 × 2400, a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a refresh rate adjustable depending on the content in the range from 48 to 120 Hz, with support for HDR10 +.

The battery capacity has grown to 4800 mAh.The battery supports 25W fast charging, 15W wireless, and also works in reversible mode. The hardware of the Galaxy S21 + is exactly the same as the base Galaxy S21 smartphone. Pre-orders for the Galaxy S21 +, starting at € 1,050, are also slated to start on January 15th, with the smartphone on sale on January 29th.
