Samsung accounted for 22% of total smartphone shipments in the second quarter

According to the research company Strategy Analytics, in the second quarter of this year in the global market

smartphones, Samsung accounted for 22% oftotal supply. Apple was in second place with a 16% share. Xiaomi took the third place with a share of 13.6%. The fourth and fifth places are occupied by OPPO and Vivo with shares of 9.5% and 8.6%, respectively. It is noted that if Samsung and Apple's market shares grew in the second quarter by 9.5% and 3.3% respectively, then all Chinese players reduced their shares by more than 20%, for example, the reduction in Xiaomi's share was 25.2%. In total, 291 million smartphones were delivered to the global market. It is predicted that by the end of the year the market will decrease by 7-8%. The market is negatively affected by uncertainty in the economy, disruptions in supply chains and a decrease in buying activity caused by rising inflation.
