Russian scientists have created a gel to restore muscles, cartilage and blood vessels

Scientists from the Saratov StateUniversity have developed a gel to restore muscles, cartilage and blood vessels. The soft tissue recovery gel is based on milk whey. Analogues of this drug, as a rule, are made on the basis of hyaluronic and polylactic acids, but the production of such drugs is difficult, which is why they are expensive.

The gel contains the antibiotic cefazolin, which is necessary to suppress pathogens in the process of tissue repair. In this case, the antibiotic does not affect the cells of the body.

The gel is intended for antisepticimpact after invasive intervention. Within 48 hours, the drug completely suppresses the development of pathogenic bacteria. Also, the technology is going to be introduced into reconstructive cosmetology, where the drug can be used as a shaping component in the healing of soft tissues and cartilage.
