Russian mobile operators agreed to create a collective anti-spam protection

It is unlikely that there will be at least one person who does notwould run into the problem of phone spam. And the number of such calls is increasing every day. As it became known from representatives of the Federal Antimonopoly Service next month, a new anti-spam protection system will be launched.

The four largest Russian telecom operators -MTS, Beeline, MegaFon and Tele2 have agreed to jointly create a new instant response service that will block spammer numbers for up to 72 hours. Collective work of operators will allow to exchange information with each other and conduct operational analysis.

We hope that the operators have thought through the technology and notallow erroneous blocking of citizens who have nothing to do with spam (after all, very often spammers use IP-telephony and replace the number of unsuspecting citizens).

I hope that this will really help in the fight against spam.
