Providing astronauts with equipment for convenient andeffective work in open space is reaching a new level. Russian scientists have created a jetpack, called in the American terminology the safer, necessary for moving between space modules and during rescue operations.

Russian cosmonauts believe that at the present stage jet packs are a necessary element in equipment during work in open space in a state of weightlessness.

Orlan-M space suits available todayThey are equipped with cosmonaut rescue installations that do not have the necessary maneuverability, with a small autonomous resource and are adapted exclusively for rescue operations.

The new knapsack will be integrated into the spacesuit, which will greatly simplify movement in open space, increase the efficiency of work and research of Russian cosmonauts.
