The Russian government approved an increase in the duty-free threshold for the import of goods from 200 to 1,000 euros (or about 120,000 rubles at the current exchange rate).
Now you can order delivery of goods in anyforeign stores (where there is such an opportunity) within the allowed amount up to 1000 euros per month without fear of a fee. The only constant restriction remains in the form of the maximum weight of the parcel, which, as before, should not exceed 31 kilograms.
If the amount of purchases for a calendar month exceeds 1000 euros, then, as before, you will have to pay a 15% duty on the excess amount.
The government's website states that the decision toincrease in the duty-free threshold was approved by the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission and will be valid until October 1, 2022. Mishustin said: “It is important that people have a choice. And raising the duty-free threshold will allow citizens to continue shopping in foreign online stores. Moreover, some of them already accept payments with Mir cards. We expect their number to grow."
