Robodog taught to walk on walls (video)

Scientists from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea have demonstrated the ability of the MARVEL robot dog to walk on walls and ceilings.

But the car can move in such planes only in metal buildings. The robot's legs are embedded with magnetic elastomers that can be magnetized and demagnetized as needed by the operator.

To walk on a metal wall, the robot dog attaches itself to a point on it and holds on by moving with the help of other "limbs". MARVEL can carry up to 3kg payload.

The robot is equipped with an obstacle detection program to avoid beams and other obstacles while moving. The researchers recorded a demonstration of the robotic dog's movement on video.
