Renault's losses after leaving Russia became known

French automaker Renault has published its financial report for the first half of 2022.

So, according to the results of the activity for half a year, the company recognized a net loss in the amount of 1.357 billion euros (last year for this period there was a profit of 354 million euros) and a drop in revenue by 10% (to 21.057 billion euros). At the same time, the net loss from leaving the Russian market is estimated at 2.3 billion euros.

In just six months, Renault produced 348,000 units.cars, but acknowledged that due to the shortage of semiconductor components at the end of the year, the total underproduction of cars will be 300 thousand units. Recall that Renault ceased operations in Russia on March 23, 2022. Officially, the reason for this step was the complexity of the supply of components.
