In order to eliminate this problem, X5 Retail Group, which owns the Pyaterochka and Perekrestok brands, introduces electronic price tags.
Testing is carried out in Dolgoprudny near Moscow, where the goods of Pyaterochka stores have already received 58,000 electronic price tags that cover the entire range of the network.
Electronic price tag uses technologyelectronic paper with color ink. The price change is carried out online, automatically and eliminates the possibility of a difference between the declared price on the product and the breakdown at the checkout. One price tag per battery charge can work up to 5 years.
Currently, the X5 group has already implemented over 65 thousand electronic price tags in St. Petersburg, Stary Oskol and Moscow. Another 15 Pyaterochka chain stores and 10 Perekrestok supermarkets are in line.
