Our DNA hides traces of unexplored species of people.

Did you know that with a high degree of probability, youAre you a carrier of Neanderthal genes? According to studies, almost every modern representative of the genus Homo Sapiens has about 2% of the genes inherited from the ancient ancestors of the species Homo Neanderthalensis. In addition to the Neanderthal genes, you and I are also carriers of the genes of Denisov's man - our much less studied ancient relative.

The skeleton of an ancient girl

When in 2012 in one of the caves, whereDenisov's man stopped, the remains of an ancient teenage girl were found, a real sensation occurred in the scientific world. The fact is that according to the examinations, the girl was a DNA carrier of two different species of ancient man at once. So, the girl’s mother was a representative of Neanderthals, and her father was a Denisovan.

The genes of the mother of the girl from the cave say thather ancestors came to Altai from Western Europe. In addition, an analysis of more distant relatives showed that most of them were immigrants from the region of modern Croatia. Guided by this fact, it can be understood that the ancient man had a tendency to frequent migration in the region between Europe and Siberia. The result of such a large-scale migration was a Neanderthal girl with the genes of Denisov's man. Despite the fact that it is not known for certain how the representatives of the Denisovites could look (only some fragments have survived to our time), thanks to the DNA of the deceased ancient girl, it became clear that she was brown-eyed and dark-skinned.

Worth considering: All existing species, including human species, will one day disappear.

It is very likely that in his short lifea girl from the Altai cave hardly managed to do something meaningful, although even just by her birth, Denisova 3 (as the child began to be called in the scientific community) was able not only to shed light on the secret of the origin of the extinct ancestors of modern man, but also become famous after a few thousand years after his death.

Ancient Romeo and Juliet “inherited” in our DNA

According to recent data, the ancestors of modernpeople were crossed not only with Neanderthals and Denisovans, but also with representatives of several other archaic groups. So, scientists revealed that during the settlement of Southeast Asia, Homo Sapiens encountered some “extinct hominins”, which modern researchers call “EN-1” and “EH-2”.

It is not known whether crossbreeding has occurred.these species among themselves. It is only known that both species were quickly destroyed by Homo Sapiens, although several love stories between blood enemies still remain in our DNA.

Relatives of a person could be hobbits

In addition to "EN-1" and "EH-2," scientists discoveredtraces of another mysterious species that managed to contribute to the development of mankind. The “Luzon Man” coexisted with Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons, while living on the island of Luzon off the coast of modern Philippines. The closest relative of this species may be a “Floress man,” who, despite his rather primitiveness, owned relatively developed implements of labor. In addition, the similarity of the Floresian man and the Luzon man can be indicated by their interesting feature inherent in both species, namely extremely low growth. So, the average size of these people could be only 1.2 meters. Perhaps John Ronald Tolkien, describing the hobbits in The Lord of the Rings, used an image that looked exactly like human ancestors.
