In the market for compact trackers designed forsearch for lost things, very soon there will be another model developed by the engineers of the OPPO company. The new OPPO Smart Tag tracker will be a direct competitor to Samsung's Galaxy SmartTag and Apple's AirTag device, released just this week.
Confirmation of the seriousness of the intentions of OPPO steelreal photos of the tracker (or its prototype) posted by an insider at Digital Chat Station on the Weibo social network. It is noteworthy that in January 2021, a message about OPPO's intentions appeared on the Internet, and even renders of the company's Bluetooth tracker were published, based on patent applications discovered by enthusiasts. However, it was then assumed that the tracker from OPPO would be enclosed in a flat square case with rounded corners.
Photos now published show thatthe future OPPO Smart Tag is planned to be released in a round flat plastic case, the diameter of which is slightly more than one inch. The photo also shows that there is a USB-C connector on the case, which means recharging the internal battery, and not replacing the battery, as competitors from Apple suggest.
It is already known from early leaks that OPPO SmartDesigned to make it easier to find lost items, Tag will support energy efficient UWB (Ultra Wide Band) technology. The tracker can be attached to any of the user's things, as well as hung on the collar of pets, which will greatly simplify their search.
As of today, there is no information about the date of the official presentation of the OPPO Smart Tag, or the prices of the product.
