Meet Onyx Boox Volta - Classice-book reader from the most prolific manufacturer of devices of this kind. This is the millennial first model based on the unchanged Android 4.4 KitKat with a painfully familiar set of specifications and one small, but rather important update.
Onyx Boox has a lot of readers on a 4-core chipset witha small amount of RAM, an old android as an operating system and a 6-inch E-Ink screen. Why produce entities by despising Occam's razor principle?
Perhaps the answer can be considered featuresscreen. This is E-Ink Carta - now you can’t expect anything else, the resolution is standard reading 758 × 1024 - it turns out 212 ppi, enough for a reader. SNOW Field technology is supported, which provides high-quality screen cleaning from artifacts when redrawing the page. And there is a backlight, and a new one - MOON Light 2. This means that a simple reader in all other respects received an advanced screen backlight system with color temperature adjustment.
Plus, a decent amount of internal memory by the standards of such devices is 8 GB with expandability, as well as a traditionally good battery - 3000 mAh. There is support for WiFi.
The device will appear on the Russian market. No price tag yet.
