OnePlus 9 Pro and Galaxy S21 Ultra come together in a face-to-face camera duel (video)

Detailed testing of technicalcapabilities of the flagship OnePlus 9 Pro, launched this week by OnePlus. Another test was carried out by the PhoneArena resource, which compared, among other things, the photo capabilities of the OnePlus 9 Pro cameras, in the development of which the famous company Hasselblad participated, with the cameras of the top-end Samsung smartphone.

As an opponent for the OnePlus 9 Pro, there wasthe Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone has been selected, the camera of which has already confirmed its top-end characteristics. The main reason for this choice, PhoneArena experts, called the approximate equality of the price of both smartphones. The OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone in 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of permanent memory is sold for $ 1,060, while the Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone in the same configuration is $ 1,249.

Recall that both smartphones have cameras withfour sensors. However, the technical parameters of optical sensors vary considerably. The new OnePlus 9 Pro has a 48MP main sensor (Sony IMX789, f / 1.8), an ultra-wide-angle 50MP (Sony IMX766, f / 2.2), an 8MP telephoto lens and a 2MP portrait sensor (f / 2.4). Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has a proprietary 108 megapixel sensor, a 12 megapixel wide-angle sensor and two 10 megapixel modules providing 3x and 10x optical zoom.

Tested under various conditionsillumination. At 3x optical zoom, the Galaxy S21 Ultra's camera showed significantly higher detail, which was even more pronounced when shooting at 10x zoom. Shooting with the main camera in good daylight showed good results for both smartphones. And portrait photography revealed a significant flaw in the OnePlus 9 Pro's camera, which could not clearly separate the person and the background even in daylight. Night shots showed Samsung's clear edge in detail and photo rage.

Experts say that the only advantage of the OnePlus 9 Pro is the presence of an ultra-wide-angle camera and more convenient shooting in macro mode.
