One of the most dangerous fish in Russia. What is she like?

Everyone knows that swimming where sharks live, not allowed. The danger of this predator is known to all, although in many ways even exaggerated by cinema and folklore. It’s just that not all species are as dangerous as they are thought of, and some are predators at all only conditionally. There are other fish. For example, piranhas, everything is easier with them. They are dangerous and it is better not to go into the water where they live. Although they are small, there will be many problems from them. It turns out that in our reservoirs there are also fish, which are better to swim side by side. They cannot bite, they are not the size of a car, they cannot generate electricity, but they are dangerous. Although you can eat them.

Ordinary fish in the river can be very dangerous.

The most dangerous fish in Russian waters

It turns out the danger of swimming in our reservoirslies not only in the fact that sometimes you can meet snakes, but also in the fact that a fish swims there, which is unlikely to kill you, but it can certainly do much harm.

It is called differently. I can’t explain why this happens, because I haven’t found reliable information anywhere. However, among her "names" you can find such as marinka, akbalyk and schizothorax.

The danger of this fish is that it hasthere are special glands that throw out the strongest poison. This poison is even somewhat similar to the one that repels the attacks of its offenders puffer fish. Akbalyk is so protected from underwater predators and birds, which can also harm them. This fish is found in rivers and lakes, which are located mainly closer to the east of our country.

How do fish sleep and why can city lighting kill them?

In this case, the Akbalik fish itself leads a predatory lifestyle and chooses smaller fish or invertebrates (insects) as food. However, there are also species of this fish that feed only on plants.

What do marinka fish look like

When you see this fish, it does not seem that it canhurt you. At first glance, it is very harmless and similar to other river inhabitants. Most importantly, it does not inflate into a ball, like the very puffer fish with which it has poisonous “recipe” similar to it.

The body of this fish is covered with small scales. The main color of the scales varies from cream to gray-olive, the back and fins are usually gray, and the peritoneum is black (sometimes because of this it is also called black fish). A distinctive feature is the caudal fin, which is bordered by a number of enlarged scales. In the corners of the mouth they can find two pairs of short whiskers.

Such stylish antennae distinguish the marinka from many other fish.

Akbalyk (marinka) is relatively small, although it can reach one meter in length and twelve kilograms of weight. Usually spawns in the spring in the rivers. Caviar is poisonous, bottom, sticky.

Spawning is the process of breeding fishwhich includes mating andfertilization of eggs with the milk of males in amphibians and fish. Spawning usually occurs in certain places. Many fish change color or special scales during spawning. There are times when some fish for spawning leave the seas to rivers, or, conversely, from rivers to seas.

Is it possible to catch and eat poisonous fish

Many poisonous fish are not forbidden to catch. These include marinkas, but this must be done very carefully. Usually only experienced fishermen do this. All because of the protein poison that their body produces. It is better for ordinary people without preparation to not get involved with this fish, since such fishing can be life-threatening, regardless of whether it is planned to use marinkas for food.

Marinka poison acts in much the same way as puffer fish poison. It blocks the sodium channels of the membranes of nerve cells, paralyzes the muscles and causes respiratory arrest. No antidote, but the poison itself is metabolized in the body - it is only necessary to maintain human activity, until the poison is processed. He himself will not be able to do this.

In this case, you can eat fish. Moreover, those who have tried it, say that it is very tasty, and for residents of the regions where you can catch it, it is a delicacy. All because of the delicate meat with a delicate taste, which is revealed in almost any cooking method.

Marinka does not look like an unusual fish. Her appearance is almost standard.

It can be fried, dried, baked, boiled and evensalt. The main thing is to prepare the preparation before cooking. It is necessary to thoroughly rinse all the parts of the fish that are planned to be cooked, and be sure to remove all the caviar without leaving even insignificant residues, since it is the most toxic one. It is also necessary to have a black film and gills. It is in these parts of the fish that almost all poison accumulates.

The process of preparing such fish is also better to entrust to someone who is well versed in this. Otherwise, the meal can end very badly.

In general, among the aquatic inhabitants there are a lot of thosewho is a threat and danger. You just can't catch everyone in a row. As you can see, this applies not only to exotic fish and mollusks, but also to those who live next door to us and have no signs, if I may say so, of exoticism. These are just ordinary fish, similar to the rest.

In our Telegram chat, of course, not all fishermen, but sometimes the topics come in very interesting.

Such fish are not so rare. There are simply places where deadly fish live. There are those where simply dangerous dwell. There are, of course, relatively safe ones, but you still should not engage in fishing and cooking something with which you are not familiar. Better to entrust it to professionals. Even if the fish itself is not poisonous, the ecology could make it that way. We do not know what water is in this pond.
