NASA astronaut unveils a unique video of the Milky Way filmed from aboard Crew Dragon Resilience


Impressive video with an unusually beautiful viewThe Milky Way was published by NASA astronaut Mike Hopkins. The fragment was filmed from the Crew Dragon Resilience spacecraft on approach to the International Space Station. Now all earthlings will be able to enjoy the view of our Galaxy as astronauts see it from space.

Astronaut Mike Hopkins is no stranger to space,It made its first flight back in 2014 on the Russian Soyuz TMA-10M spacecraft as part of the ISS-37/38 expedition program on the International Space Station. On the first expedition, Hopkins spent more than 166 days in space. It has now been in space since November 16, 2020, the launch day of SpaceX Crew Dragon Resilience. However, even such an enormous experience of space flight did not prevent Hopkins from expressing his admiration for the view of the Milky Way, filmed by his friend Soichi Noguchi from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) while approaching the ISS.


Currently, the ISS crew is 10people, among whom four astronauts were flown aboard the Crew Dragon Resilience. In addition to Soichi Noguchi and Mike Hopkins, the SpaceX rocket delivered American astronauts Victor Glover and Shannon Walker to the station.
Crew is scheduled to start again this week.Dragon 2, which is due to dock with the ISS on April 23. To receive the next SpaceX spacecraft, a fully automatic re-docking of the Crew Dragon to another docking port was carried out in early April.
