Scientists from many countries continue to work onvarious ways to obtain clean renewable energy. The symbiosis of wind and solar power plants was designed by engineers from the English University of Manchester. A new invention by design resembles an ordinary flag.
Structurally the surface of the energy flagrepresents the alternating strips consisting of piezoelements and solar batteries. The bands have an elasticity that allows the flag to grow in the wind. The performance of such a generator is low, it is enough to power for several sensors, for example, controlling wind strength and illumination.
During tests with moderate wind andfull uniform illumination, the energy source produced 3-4 mW. Of interest is the versatility of the power plant, working in bad weather on wind energy, and in quiet time from the energy of the Sun.
