Microsoft is planning massive layoffs

Microsoft is planning massive layoffs that will affect both the engineering departments,

and various administrative workers.The reduction may affect about 5% of all employees of the company or about 11,000 people. One of the departments that will be cut by more than a third is the recruiting and personnel department. As of the middle of last year, Microsoft had about 221,000 full-time employees, of which 122,000 worked in the US and 99,000 worked in other countries. It is noted that the planned reduction is significantly more significant in comparison with the rounds of reductions last year. The planned reduction shows that the situation in the technology industry continues to be tense, and the technology sector will continue to cut jobs.
