Microsoft launched a gaming cloud service Project xCloud (video)


Microsoft announced the start of workcloud gaming service Project xCloud. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users in 22 countries can play over 150 games via the cloud at no additional cost. A carefully crafted Xbox Game Pass catalog includes popular Xbox Game Studios games like Tell Me Why, Gounded, Forza Horizon 4, and Battletoads, as well as partner apps like Spiritfarer, Untitled Goose Game, and Destiny, in a statement. 2. In the future, based on the wishes of users, the library will be expanded and supplemented with new game applications.

Xbox Game SubscribersPass Ultimate will use the xCloud service for free. Android devices are supported. For owners of iOS devices, xCloud is not yet available, which is explained by the problems of streaming platforms when working with the Apple App Store.

Currently, players will be able to accessalready by 172 games (when Google Stadia launched in November 2019, its library consisted of 22 games and has now grown to only 116). The list of available games did not include applications that are available through EA Play, which allows us to hope that by the end of the year the volume of xCloud's library will almost double the Google Stadia catalog.


For efficient and comfortable work on the platformxCloud via Android smartphone, physical controller like Razer Kishi should be used. In the near future, the ability to work with touch controls will be added to xCloud, and the first such game will be Minecraft Dungeons. Then the touch interface will be supported by AAA gaming applications such as Gears 5 and Senua's Sacrifice. In the future, touch interfaces will become available for most games from the xCloud library, a complete list of which can be found on the official Microsoft website.
