Chipmaker MediaTek announced its owna family of chipsets specifically designed for gaming smartphones. The line was named Helio G and currently contains two models: MediaTek Helio G90 and Helio G90T.
Chipsets are made using 12nmtechnical process. Their architecture includes two cores Cortex-A76 and six Cortex-A55. Graphic system - Mali-G76 3EEMC4. The differences between the Helio G90T and G90 are at the maximum frequency of the processor cores of 2.05 GHz and 2 GHz, respectively, and the frequency of the GPU is also different: 800 MHz and 720 MHz, respectively.
Proprietary technology MediaTek HyperEngine adjusts the work of chipsets for maximum efficiency depending on the nature of the game.
Chipsets are equipped with an integrated modem withLTE Cat.12 support. They support work with a camera with a resolution of 64 or 48 MP, a dual photo module up to 24 + 16 MP, as well as three- and four-chamber photo modules. Video recording is possible at speeds up to 240fps.
Comparisons with top chipsets like Snapdragon855, on which the most advanced gaming smartphones are built, the Helio G90 / G90T, perhaps, does not withstand, but the performance in the AnTuTu test Helio G90 has already shown quite good - approximately at the level of Snapdragon 730. Obviously, we should expect the appearance of Helio G90 / G90T “ igrofonov "middle class.
