LG enters the electric car battle

Recently, in pursuit of profits, many companies have realized that the future belongs to electric vehicles. Tesla is no longer news to anyone, of course, but more and more companies, although not developing their own cars, are pouring into the business.

This did not bypass the South Korean company LG. Not long ago, the tech giant acquired electric car charger developer AppleMango.

Since South Korea is a very, very rich country, and besides, striving for a green economy, electric vehicles are more relevant than ever.

Now a new player, LG, is launching itsproduction of "full-featured" charging stations with, allegedly, a user-friendly interface and the ability to monitor and control in real time. The displays at the new "gas stations" will be equipped with a dust- and waterproof protection using new technology.

The South Korean giant itself has been making money for a long timein the electric car market, only more “secretly”: it creates batteries and sensors. Recently, she began working with Magna International, at the same time developing electric motors, inverters and on-board charging for automakers.

The latter is especially relevant in the light of “gas stations” -this way it will be possible to combine the new charging possibilities with the car's charging management systems. And besides, this will make it possible to create a "synergy" LG with the battery business - it will be possible to create an energy storage system and a power management system. Simply put, the user will have the opportunity to have a kind of stationary PowerBank, only at a gas station.
