Lenovo unveils LAVIE MINI convertible to gaming console concept (4 photos)

Lenovo at CES 2021will present several new products at once, including conceptual models of compact computers designed for gamers and users who spend a lot of time on the road.

Portable model of a concept computerLAVIE MINI is developed by a joint venture between Lenovo and NEC Corporation. The pocket-sized LAVIE MINI convertible into a game console features an 8-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) touchscreen display, a white body and weighs just 579 grams.

The hardware of the LAVIE MINI runs on11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics. The computer has 12 or 16 GB LPDDR4 RAM, as well as a 512 GB SSD drive.

The logo on the LCD cover lights up whenthe computer is turned on and the keyboard also has its own backlight. The main purpose of the LAVIE MINI laptop is entertainment and simple work tasks. For gamers, there is an optional dockable game controller that provides a comfortable gaming experience for most modern games.

The design of the transformed LAVIE MINI is similar tothe Nintendo Switch console. Attached controllers have vibration motors for feedback, and buttons are arranged in a pattern similar to Xbox joysticks. A dedicated docking station will enable the LAVIE MINI to connect to a TV via HDMI, as well as additional USB Type-C and Type-A ports.

Another novelty from Lenovo is a compact laptop.LAVIE Pro Mobile with 180-degree flip-out monitor, full-size keyboard and touchpad. The LAVIE Pro Mobile has a 13.3-inch screen and is powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics. The device weighs 889 grams. The body is made in dark blue.
