German camera manufacturer Leica has unveiled its second-generation phone called the Leitz Phone 2.
In addition to the above differences, the Leica Leitz Phone2 is the Sharp Aquos R7. It features a 1-inch 47.2MP image sensor with an f/1.9 lens. This main camera is paired with a 1.9 MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 12.6-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The novelty has a microSD card slot for expanding memory up to 1 TB. The Leitz Phone 2 boasts a Pro IGZO OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. Below the screen is an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The smartphone received a 3.5 mm headphone jack, IP68 protection against dust and water, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, a 5000 mAh battery, fast and wireless charging. The cost of new items in Japan is 225,360 yen (1540 US dollars). It will be available for purchase from November 18th. Like its predecessor, this phone may remain exclusive to the Japanese market.
