Consumers in China are increasingly opting for more expensive and functional models. According to Counterpoint data for 2022, the share of models costing more than $500 in total sales in China has grown to 26%. According to forecasts, the interest of Chinese users in buying expensive models will increase, and in the future, the sales of models costing $500 or more could reach 40% by 2030. At the same time, the total sales of smartphones in China last year fell to the lowest level in the last decade, 280 million devices were sold, a decrease of 16%. However, the Chinese market is still the largest in the world in terms of sales, with China accounting for 22.6% of global smartphone sales.
