New acquaintances and unexpectedly old acquaintances from the operator business, the circle is narrow, and the Earth is small. Every time on such trips I try to kill several birds with one stone at the same time, one of them was the Avito office, where I was for the first time. Several times I heard from friends that being in the office is a pleasure. Made according to the mind, located near the center, but on a quiet embankment.

"Sapsan" arrives at the Moscow railway station, as usualI walk through the building, it's raining. He asked me to stop the taxi at Goncharnaya Street, where it is easier and faster to get into the car, to Malookhtinsky Prospekt, 64, about fifteen minutes to go. The driver caught talking, looks at me and asks with interest: “Are you in the office of St. Petersburg?”. Seeing my bewildered face, he adds: “Are you now in the bank of St. Petersburg?”

I answer that I'm going to Avito, my driver's answersurprises, as if I told something that changes his view of the world. The perception of Avito as a small business is widespread among completely different people, it is difficult to imagine the size of the company.

I get out of the car, steps, and in front of me is a tower where the bank's office is located, but I need to go to the left, to the next building.

Very simple reception with a security guard, "Avito"occupies several floors, there are also other companies. The total area is 2.4 thousand square meters, several floors in the St. Petersburg Plaza building. I go up to the eighth floor, the elevator offers views of the surrounding beauty, the church is growing before our eyes.

A typical office of a large IT company, where they tried to make everything not only functional, but also beautiful.

Tables were set up in a large conference room, we tookthe entire central part, guitars and golden discs hung behind my back, they drilled my back, I wanted to roll back and examine them. I did it during a break, but remembered the meeting for another reason. At six o'clock a girl looked in and said: "Guys, yoga is starting here now, please vacate the room." Exactly the same scene I saw in California at the Google office, as they say, a carbon copy. About ten years ago, I was struck by the fact that an ordinary Google engineer kicked out the tops of the company from the meeting (no, Brin and Page were not there, but a couple of vice presidents turned out to be). Our room was packed with Avito verticals plus the deputy general director. Everyone quickly gathered and cleared the yoga room. I can’t imagine something similar in MTS or the same VK, the customs there are slightly different and they don’t allow such freedom. I will make a reservation that this is the external side of the issue, I am a stranger who first got inside this world, and my judgments are extremely superficial, they cannot be otherwise.

A unique feature is that things bought at Avito are scattered throughout the office. A touch that captivates.

After a walk around the Yandex office in St. Petersburg,I had only one question: so often scattered on the floors of food stations - from total hunger? There was a feeling that people were chewing carrots and flitting from one station to another, perhaps it was erroneous. In Avito, such stations are not so conspicuous, but they are certainly present.

There are separate meeting rooms that stand in the middle of the office, they have complete soundproofing for those who want to work in silence or chat like that.

But most of all I was impressed by the new floor, which was recently opened, it was decorated in the Bauhaus style, which I adore.

Matryoshka, posters and even a smell that copiesthe spirit of that era (no, this is not decay at all, but the roaring twenties). It turned out very atmospheric and unusual. Perhaps this floor made the greatest impression on me.

For me, the outside of any office is wrongimportant, rather I want to feel the energy, living space or dead. The St. Petersburg office of Avito is definitely alive, there are few people, everyone is immersed in their own affairs, scurrying back and forth, and this is a good indicator, people are busy with their work. There are not so many such offices in Russia, however, as well as IT companies - I liked this one, it looks so comfortable to work in it. These are my first impressions, which are rarely misleading, especially since I have seen different offices in different parts of the world. This world-class office, whether you like it or not, the photographs only convey a fraction of what it looks like in real life. Chic, shine, beauty. Now I decided to invite myself to visit the Moscow office and look at its design.
