iPhone 15 Pro may not have mechanical buttons

According to well-known insider Ming-Chi Kuo, cited by the Gizmochina portal, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will receive touch

lock and volume buttons. This solution is similar to the touch-sensitive home button with feedback from the vibration motor on the iPhone 7, 8, and even SE 2 and SE 3. Haptic feedback creates the feeling of pressing a physical button.

The change is expected to affect only the iPhone.15 Pro and Pro Max, which will feature the Taptic Engine on the inner left and right sides. This means that next-generation Apple flagships may come with three Taptic Engine vibration motors. Removing the physical power and volume buttons will also help remove two additional points of entry for water and dust, making the phone more secure. Kuo expects Android smartphone makers to adopt a similar solution for their premium devices.
