Insiders revealed the memory configuration of 5 models of Intel Arc Alchemist graphics cards for laptops

Official presentation of new Intel Arc graphics cardsAlchemist is expected in the coming months, but insiders are constantly providing the community with new information about devices that can potentially compete with the latest NVIDIA graphics cards. A post by Twitter user HXL (@9550pro) posted an image of a demo slide with some specifications of the DG2 graphics memory configuration designed for Arc Alchemist laptops.

Top graphics card SKU1 with 512 executivemodules will work with eight GDDR6 memory modules with a total capacity of 16 GB. The transfer rate will be 16Gbps, which is the same as the recently announced GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU. This video card model with a 256-bit memory bus will provide a throughput of up to 512 GB / s.

The information on the slide confirms the creationa stripped-down DG2-512EU video card with 384 EU, internally labeled SKU2 and having 384 execution units. This model will receive 12 GB of GDDR6 memory and a 192-bit memory bus providing up to 384 GB / s bandwidth.

The third modification of Intel ARC Mobile markedSKU3 is a 256EU-based model with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory and a 128-bit memory bus providing up to 256 GB/s of bandwidth. The data transfer rate will also be 16 Gbps.

Two younger models - SKU4 and SKU5 - are based onGPU DG2-128EU with 4 GB GDDR6 memory and 64-bit bus. The memory speed will be limited to 14 Gb/s, which means the maximum bandwidth will reach 112 GB/s.

Based on the information providedan insider, it can be assumed that cut-down modifications of the DG2-512EU GPU may appear for desktop computers. For desktop computers, a model with 448 execution units (EU) is expected.
