Infinix sent a new smartphone to get acquainted. I took the Infinix Note 12 Pro as my main smartphone for two days
In the car, the smartphone worked asnavigator, and was also connected to the radio via a 3.5 mm jack. Of course, all the photos were also taken on the Infinix Note 12 Pro, and while sightseeing, the smartphone speaker played audio tours from the izi.Travel application. With the help of an NFC chip and the Mir Pay application, I paid in shops and cafes. And, of course, I put PUBG on my smartphone.
Ready to share my experience with you!The smartphone has both strengths and a very specific disadvantage. For some, it may be significant, but for others it will be invisible. On the other hand, do not forget that a smartphone costs only 19,990 rubles and this is a good price for such hardware.

In the "Positioning" section, relatively speaking,we give the floor to the manufacturer so that he can explain himself what kind of smartphone and for whom it is made. So let's take a look at the Infinix Note 12 Pro official website. The manufacturer says that we have a real flagship. In my opinion, not quite a correct translation. The English-language site says "A-lister", that is, a smartphone that can compete with the products of market leaders (Samsung, Xiaomi). The way to argue with the flagships A-lister does not suggest.
So, how should the Infinix 12 Note Pro impress the buyer:
- Helio G99 chipset based on 6 nm manufacturing process (this is a new product from MediaTek, which the company is proud of, and there is a note on the smartphone box that this is the first device with such a chipset)
- 108 MP main camera module and 16 MP front camera
- 6.7 inch AMOLED screen
- Slim design, only 7.8 mm thick
- 33W fast charge + 5000mAh battery
- 8 GB RAM + expandable up to 5 GB additional memory
- Separate microSD slot, 3.5 mm jack
- There is NFC
- Stereo speakers with DTS technology

The smartphone has a modern design with flat edges, and the back panel is made of matte plastic. The most unusual design element is the puck of the main camera, placed on a glossy block.
I will not judge the beauty of the smartphone, but, perhaps, we can say for sure that the smartphone looks fresh. I really don't want to put it in a case.
There are no questions about the build quality. The smartphone lies well in the hand. The edges do not stick, the palm does not get tired - I know what I'm talking about, I spent two days without letting go of the device from my hands.
Infinix uses a waterdrop AMOLED screennotch. On the one hand, screens with holes for the front camera are now in vogue. On the other hand, I, frankly, noticed that there was a teardrop notch only after a couple of days. And before that, although I used the front camera, I simply did not pay attention.
A protective film was initially glued onto the smartphone. Not bad in terms of quality. The finger slides well.
On the back panel - a combination of a matte surfaceand gloss. Here, of course, slightly underdeveloped, since the gloss performs only an aesthetic function. It was necessary to make a glossy surface in such a way that it could be used for taking selfies on the main camera.
The power button is combined with a fingerprint scanner. The scanner is flush with the case. It looks good.
On the left side is a slot for 2 Nano-SIM cards and a separate slot for microSD memory cards.
At the bottom there is a 3.5 mm jack, a microphone, a charging port and a speaker.
There is nothing on the upper end, but I would like to seesecond microphone for noise reduction and speaker. The manufacturer says that there are stereo speakers. So it is, but the voice speaker plays the role of the second speaker. The vibration of the smartphone is good, but the volume, in my opinion, is a little lacking.
The device lies pleasantly in the hand and is easy to use.I really don't want a cover. In the case, by the way, there is a huge cutout for a glossy block. I used the smartphone for a week, but this is too little to understand whether the gloss will scratch. So far there are no scratches.
The smartphone uses an AMOLED panelFull HD+ resolution with waterdrop notch. From the factory, a factory film is pasted on the screen. The quality of the film is good, the finger glides over it easily, so do not rush to shoot.
I have not yet understood whether it is necessary in a smartphone up to 20thousand rubles the presence of increased hertz. The Infinix Note 12 Pro has a default screen refresh rate of 60Hz. In theory, there could be a frequency of 90 Hz, but I think that you should not get hung up on this. Still, 90 Hz is practically the same as 60 Hz. Increased smoothness is noticeable from 120 Hz. And, of course, there cannot be such a screen in this price segment (and if you find it, then immediately look for pitfalls at the same time, since this means that you have saved on something!).
Speaking from the point of view of an ordinary user, I was pleased with the screen. Good rich colors, white is white, and most importantly, the screen is comfortable to use both indoors and outdoors.
During a trip to Rostov and Yaroslavl, the weatherit was sunny, so it would have been a failure if the screen wasn't bright enough. I constantly used maps, a tour app, and the internet to look up points of interest.
While reviewing the Infinix Note 12 VIP, I complained about the strange work of auto-brightness when the smartphone selects too low values indoors. Infinix Note 12 Pro does not have such problems. Everything works clearly.
Surprising nearby:in smartphones up to 20 thousand rubles, an Always-On screen appeared. Of course, it is truncated here: it shines for only 10 seconds, but it wakes up by touching the screen. The Always-On visual settings are quite wide. You can even post a photo.
The screen has a blue light filtering mode(the easiest way is to set up scheduled activation), of course, there is a dark theme (you can also enable scheduled operation). Surprisingly, there is no manual color adjustment. I would write it down as a minus, but the smartphone is set up perfectly from the factory. Perhaps, by the way, they were guided by this when they turned off this, in general, standard option.
For the money, the smartphone has a good screen. Of course, look before you buy live. But what’s what, but you definitely won’t find fault with the screen.
Communication and communications
There are both strong and frankly weak sides. Read carefully. Let's go over the positives first.
- Undoubtedly, the presence of VoLTE and VoWi-Fi pleases. Add here, by the way, the built-in automatic call recording function.
In the lower left corner of the screen, there is an option to enable recording. But in the settings there is also an option to automatically record calls.
- GPS works great.During the trip, my smartphone worked for more than 12 hours in navigator mode. There are no complaints about the smartphone. There are questions about the organization of traffic. It took 6 hours to travel 250 kilometers from Yaroslavl to Moscow. This, it turns out, the average speed of movement is 40 km per hour. I reached St. Petersburg in 7.5 hours!
- Separately, I note that the smartphone has a magnetometer sensor, in other words, a compass. That is, the smartphone on the map displays where the user is looking. A lot of manufacturers like to save on this.
- NFC works: everywhere you can pay with the Mir card.
- Wi-Fi supports 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz networks. Provides good speed.
Separately, I note that the smartphone usesBluetooth version 4+. Now even inexpensive headphones are available with Bluetooth 5.0 support. The main difference between the consumer versions is the range. The 5th version allows you to move away from the smartphone by 10 meters. And Bluetooth 4 is already 5 meters away.
There is only one frank minus - this is the absencefrequency aggregation, the same problem as in Infinix Note 12 VIP. The modem in Note 12 Pro is clearly better than in 12 VIP. All the way, streaming music flowed without interruption. But without frequency aggregation, Internet speed suffers. This became especially noticeable when I used my smartphone as a laptop hotspot.
This is the speed the smartphone gives out on the Beeline network. The result is not bad, if you don’t know how a smartphone can do with frequency aggregation (about 2 times the difference).
To be honest, it's frankly strange to see sucha flaw in 2022, and I can’t even explain it logically, given that the smartphone has the latest chipset from MediaTek. This chipset supports VoLTE out of the box on both SIM cards and ViLTE (that's video calls over LTE), it has a Cat-13 modem with 4x4 MIMO and 256QAM. It seems that the smartphone was originally created with an eye on some other market, and this option was simply turned off to improve energy efficiency. Given that this is a software limitation, there is a ghostly hope that the firmware will be finalized (for example, Infinix quickly realized that smartphones cannot be delivered to Russia without NFC).
The smartphone uses the new Helio G99 chipsetfrom MediaTek. One of its main advantages is a modern manufacturing process. Only 6 nm. This allows the smartphone to be not only productive, but also energy efficient.
In AnTuTu, the smartphone knocks out an average of 400 thousand points. This performance is more than enough to run all major games and applications.
The same PUBG plays great. Stable frame rate, the smartphone does not heat up.

It seems that the new tariff from Tele2 looks like a great reason to throw a gamepad into your backpack so that you always have it at hand.

Huawei FreeBuds SE review: simple and tasteful!
Budget headphones with attractive appearance, long battery life and great sound
There are no issues with battery life. The smartphone will last a day even under heavy load. I removed the phone from charging the clock at 8 in the morning and used it without charging until the very evening. Personally, I was impressed that the device lasted about 6 hours, working as a GPS-navigator. Of course, the screen was not always on fire, but the conditional Samsung is discharged in 3-4 hours to zero.
Here are the screen consumption statistics for the day.
For 1.5 hours of playing PUBG at 70% brightness via Wi-Fi, the smartphone was discharged by 15%.
A full charge takes about 1.5 hours.
The highlight of the smartphone is the main camera module with a resolution of 108 MP. The second module - only 2 MP, is used as a depth sensor.
The camera app is simple and intuitive. Built-in artificial intelligence recognizes objects and rotates photos.
There is a smartphone and HDR. I took this photo first and immediately began to respect the smartphone. This is a shot against a bright sun that hits the lens directly. Both the foreground and the background are worked out.
Rostov, of course, is a very beautiful city, although it is a large village. The population is only 31 thousand people. The main churches, monasteries and temples have been cleaned from the outside.
The Metropolitan garden adjoins the Kremlin, where apples and pears grow. A formidable guard uncle walks around the garden, forbidding picking fruits from trees. You can buy them at the souvenir shop.
The most beautiful cathedral is the Assumption Cathedral. From the outside it looks very majestic. But close up, it becomes clear that the cathedral needs restoration. At the entrance it is clear that some Tanya, Lena and Seryozha visited the cathedral. There are dense forests inside. All photos in the interior of the cathedral were taken using night mode.
В сумерках и ночью смартфон снимает, к слову, неплохо. Для социальных сетей отлично подходит.
Yaroslavl as the capital of the Golden Ring is also beautiful and tidy. I especially liked that QR codes with an audio tour are attached to many houses.
As is often the case, temples are beautiful from the outside, butdestruction inside. And outside sometimes too. For example, in the photo below - the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Nadeinskaya. This is the oldest surviving stone monument of the Yaroslavl school of architecture of the 17th century. The church was built in 1620-1622.
The church has an interesting history. It stands in the courtyard of ordinary houses with a height of 3-5 floors (in the photo it is the one where the cars are in the foreground). It looks, of course, wild, if you don’t know that the Soviet government had a desire to demolish all the former sights, and instead put typical boxes of houses. And only the architect Fedorov convinced that the church has a historical value and he will carefully do everything so that nothing needs to be demolished.
Apparently, nothing has been done with the church since that time. All this is annoying because in Russia there is some kind of active construction of churches and temples. And on each new church they rivet a sign that was created by such and such a businessman or official. Why, when an unplowed field for the restoration of churches?
Summing up, I can say that the quality of shootingwas more than satisfied. All basic needs are easily covered by the camera. Plus, the camera has various video modes for shooting (music, ragged editing) in social networks. Attached is an example of one of the entries below.
Shoots smartphone video in 2K resolution 30 fps and Full HD 60 fps.

- Sample video (MP4, 77 MB)

Finally - a couple of examples of the front camera.

The smartphone runs on Android 12 using the proprietary XOS 10.6 shell. It is perfectly optimized, runs smoothly and smoothly. The shell shows features of iOS.
I recommend reading our full shell review here:

The smartphone is good. The disadvantage in the form of a lack of frequency aggregation is partially redeemed by the quality of the installed modem, which shows good speeds.
Summing up, I would note a great timebattery life, a good and bright screen, as well as the quality of the main camera. For my taste, the ultra-wide angles were slightly lacking, but then the smartphone would have cost clearly more.
