Using high technology forpersonal identification in the provision of public services will be tested in Moscow. Residents of the capital will be able to use a special mobile application that will replace the usual "paper" passport. A test experiment was initiated by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia. The study of opportunities and identification of system deficiencies will be carried out in Moscow during the test period, which will last from July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021.
Representatives of the department noted that "the activation of the mobile application takes place at the Moscow International Financial Center, even with a verified account" on the Gosuslug portal.
To date, no list is definedstate, city and other services that can be used by the owners of the "Mobile Identifier". All departments and organizations will participate in the experiment on a voluntary basis.
The ministry notes that the introduction of opportunitiesthe use of a mobile application instead of a passport will significantly increase the speed of data processing and increase efficiency in servicing citizens, provide a more comfortable business when providing public services in electronic form.
