According to the 2GIS service, in million-plus cities the number of electronics stores decreased by 5% from February last year to February this year, while in 2021 the number of stores increased by 11%. The leaders in terms of the number of retail electronics stores are Moscow, St. Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk. There are 1,619 such stores in Moscow, their number decreased by 5.8% during the year, in St. Petersburg there are 829 stores, the reduction was 6.5%, and in Krasnoyarsk there are 379 stores, the decrease was 4.3%. The distribution company DiHouse estimates the drop in the number of stores between March 1, 2022 and August 1, 2022 at 17% and calls this drop one of the most significant since 2008.
