Hybrid tablet Microsoft Surface Pro X weighing 760 grams (2 photos)

Microsoft has announced a compact tablet Surface Pro X hybrid design, equipped with a high-performance chip Qualcomm, built on the basis of ARM architecture.

Positioned as the most powerful processorQualcomm’s Snapdragon 8cx is first installed on a mass-produced device. The technical specifications of the processor are not advertised, despite the fact that the chip was first introduced almost a year ago in December 2018.

Qualcomm Developers for Surface Pro X Tabletdeveloped a special version of the processor labeled Surface SQ1. The platform has an AI accelerator, and tests have shown that the platform performance is comparable to the Intel Core i5-8250U.

The energy efficiency of the Surface Pro X is 7 watts, which gives three times the performance per unit of power than the Surface Pro 6.

The dimensions of the Surface Pro X tablet are significantlyless than the Surface Pro 7, its thickness is only 5.3 mm and its mass is 760 grams. The device has a PixelSense monitor with a diagonal of 13 inches and a resolution of 2880 × 1920 (267 ppi). The kit includes a Surface Slim Pen stylus, for charging which is designed a special socket located above the keyboard. Communication in the tablet is supported by the LTE module.

Sale of Surface Pro X will begin on November 5, but it is already possible to place a preliminary order for $ 999.
