How my life changed after the coronavirus vaccine

I think you have seen or heard more than onceadvertising about the need for vaccination against coronavirus. Say, this is the only way we can overcome COVID-19 by developing collective immunity to this disease. Despite this, people even from my circle are in no hurry to get vaccinated. Some motivate this by fear of an unproven vaccine, others do not believe in its effectiveness, and still others simply have been ill and do not see the point in driving the virus into themselves again. But I was grafted and since then my life has changed a lot.

The author of Hi-News.ru has had a coronavirus and was vaccinated. This is how his life changed

I already said that in January 2021I was vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine - be sure to read it, there I described in detail the whole process from and to. My case can be considered unique in many ways, because a year ago I had already been ill with COVID-19 with all the symptoms inherent in this disease and, in principle, could not have been vaccinated.

But since the antibodies disappeared during this time, Imade the decision to still get the vaccine. Then I still did not know about the existence of either T-cell immunity, which prevents you from getting infected, or S- and N-antibodies, the differences of which I also wrote separately. But to say that I have never regretted the vaccination is to say nothing.

Is it worth getting vaccinated against coronavirus

It is worth getting vaccinated primarily for the sake of your peace of mind.

Oddly enough, but after vaccination I becamefeel more confident. I admit that this is pure self-hypnosis, but from the moment I was vaccinated with Sputnik V, I ceased to be afraid of getting sick. Still, as far as I know, medicine knows cases re-infection, so I didn’t really smile at being infected again.

After the second injection, my confidence reachedmaximum or close to this limit, and I took off the mask. Yes, yes, I understand that in the eyes of strangers I look like an idiot who does not care about myself or others, but I no longer wear a mask either in transport or in stores.

Due to the vaccination and the presence of antibodies to the spikeprotein, which indicate the presence of immunity, I was able to return to normal life. If at the very beginning of the pandemic I treated my hands with sanitizers like a madman, washed my smartphone under the tap and shied away from people, if they came too close to me, then after vaccination everything changed.

What does the coronavirus vaccine give

At least such a certificate, with which you can then get a vaccination passport

Firstly, I stopped working my hands wherever possible. No, I didn't give up washing them with soap, but on the other hand, I lost the obsessive desire to alcohol the limbs in any room in which I found myself.

Secondly, I no longer run in dashes, avoidingpeople in shops or public transport. Now I can walk among them and not worry that some of them may be sick with a coronavirus infection, which means they can infect me.

Thirdly, I no longer spend on buying masks. Not only did I stop wearing them on my face (one still lies in my pocket in reserve - in case they refuse to serve me in the store), I stopped buying them. After all, why should I update my wardrobe of masks if I don't use them?

Is it possible to get coronavirus after vaccination

Yes, they say that getting sick and getting vaccinated isplus or minus the same thing. If you have not suffered a disease in the mildest form, then most likely immunity will develop, and the likelihood of re-infection tends to zero. But I don't know about you, but the fact of the transferred COVID-19 never really reassured me.

I was vaccinated with this vaccine

Who knows how effective antibodies are thatdeveloped naturally after suffering COVID-19? Who knows when they'll be gone? Who knows, without taking the test every week or two, that they even exist? Even a qualified infectious disease specialist will not be able to answer these questions.

Vaccination is different. The creators of the vaccine claim that "Sputnik V" with a probability of more than 90% is able to create immunity that will act at least during two years... But, even if immunity is not enough to completely prevent infection, getting sick with COVID-19 while being vaccinated will obviously be safer than unvaccinated.

In my case, the vaccine just gave meadditional confidence, because now I know that if the natural immunity does not work, the artificial one, which gave rise to the vaccine, will work. Now the main thing is to do tests from time to time and check whether the Gam-Covid-Vac vaccine, which I injected with, is really so effective or not. But so far I have no reason not to trust scientists.
