Honor 80 series of smartphones launched in China

Honor held a major launch event for new devices, including Honor 80 series smartphones,

reports the portal Gizmochina.80 Pro is the senior model in the series, which has flagship characteristics. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. The novelty received a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device weighs about 188 grams and is only 7.8 mm thick. The 80 Pro is powered by a 4800mAh rechargeable battery that supports 66W fast charging. The smartphone runs on the latest MagicOS 7.0 operating system based on Android 12. The screen has a cutout for a dual camera consisting of a 50-megapixel and a 2-megapixel selfie camera. The main camera setup includes a 160-megapixel main camera, which is paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The base Honor 80 is equipped with a Qualcomm processorSnapdragon 782G, 6.67-inch curved OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Similar to the Pro model, it also has a 4800mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. According to the manufacturer, the device can be charged from 3 to 50 percent in just 15 minutes. The novelty is equipped with a 32-megapixel selfie camera, as well as a triple camera consisting of a 160-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The camera module of both models is stylized as the number "8". The base Honor 80 starts at 2699 Yuan ($377) for the 8+256GB version and goes up to 3299 Yuan (approximately $460) for the 12+512GB version. Prices for similar configurations of the 80 Pro start at 3,499 yuan (approximately $489) and go up to 4,099 yuan (approximately $572). Both models will be available for pre-order in China from November 23rd in a choice of colorways: Hot Black, Jade Green, Wave Blue, and Pink Morning Glow.
