High school students in Russia will be able to study programming for free in two-year courses

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a resolution that enables senior students

classes to learn programming for freebiennial courses. Students will study according to a program consisting of four modules of 36 academic hours. This training will be an addition to the basic school curriculum in mathematics and computer science. Two-year courses will allow schoolchildren to master the first IT profession, which will help connect their future with the IT field. At the first stage, 100,000 children will be able to undergo training, and in the future - another 240,000 schoolchildren. The government intends to allocate 6.8 billion rubles for the implementation of the program. The training will be conducted in person and online on the basis of regional platforms.
