Now the GPD has officially announced future plans for the production of the Win Max gaming laptop, which has received not only high-performance hardware, but also an original case design that turns the keyboard into a gamepad.
The small dimensions of the Win Max housing allowthe owner can easily hold it with both hands, similar to working with portable game consoles. At the same time, separate controls are integrated on the sides of the case, which further enhance the similarity of Win Max with portable consoles. The developers also argue that the power of the hardware will allow laptop owners to easily launch high-budget games of the AAA class at up to 60 frames per second.
The new laptop will have an IPS screen with a diagonal8 inches, the protection of which will be provided by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The brightness of the display is 500 nits with a coverage of 90% DCI-P3. The hardware runs on an Intel Core i5-1035G7 processor equipped with a special cooling system. The graphics processor is built-in Intel Iris Plus 940, and in terms of performance, according to the representatives of the GPD company, it can compete with the NVIDIA GeForce MX250 video processor.
The laptop also has a built-in512 GB NVMe-drive and 16 GB of operational LPDDR4 (3733 MHz) memory. Notebook GPD Win Max has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless modules. Supports 60W fast charging technology according to PD 3.0 standard. The device also has Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI 2.0b connectors.
The gaming ultracompact laptop has threemode of operation, depending on the task. The TDP value in this case will be 15, 20 or 25 watts, and battery life will last from 3 to 8, and in some cases up to 14 hours. GPD will disclose information on the launch date and pricing for the new product in April 2020.
