Global spending on public cloud services grew by a third in 2021

According to research firm IDC, global spending on public cloud services in 2021 grew by

29% and reached $408.6 billion.Public cloud spending continued to consolidate, with the top five cloud service providers accounting for 40% of total cloud spending. The world market leaders in public cloud services are Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Salesforce, Google and SAP. The top five companies grew last year faster than the rest of the market, and the income of these companies grew by 36.6% compared to the results of the previous year. Microsoft ranked first in the public cloud segment with a 14.4% share, followed by Amazon with a 13.7% share.
