It is not worth saying that a big push in a new direction of the whole industry was given by Tesla, which showed that not only a tourist boat in a nature reserve or a warehouse loader could be an electric transport, but also a comfortable modern car.

The other day, Ford announced plans toin collaboration with Webasto to release a prototype of the legendary Mustang, but electrically powered. The car should be used as a training ground for researching further developments in this area.

I have only two explanations for whythis car was chosen for such a task. The first is that Mustang, as I said, is a legendary car and, having set it up on “electric rails”, the company will attract much more attention to itself than if it starts experimenting with the same Focus or Mondeo. Attention is needed from the image point of view and to demonstrate that Ford, which is not doing as well as before, is also at the forefront of progress and will soon be in the top of the electric vehicle industry.

Even more than an internal combustion engine with a gearbox. Speaking of the box ... It is here too. It's just not clear why.
