For about 20 years, the Guardian XO devicedesigned and improved by engineers from Sarcos Robotics. The device is intended for lifting and transporting by a person heavy loads having a large mass. The exoskeleton runs on a battery and allows the worker to carry a load weighing 90 kg, feeling a mass of only 4.5 kg. One battery charge is enough for an 8-hour working day.
The modular design allows quickchange the battery and continue to work. The exoskeleton itself does not limit the mobility of the user, who will be able to freely move, squat or raise his arms. There are 24 degrees of freedom, which will allow you to make numerous operations with goods.
Starting next year, the first Guardian XO will receivemilitary, and the alpha version of the exoskeleton will be available for testing at civilian enterprises. In the open sale of the device may arrive at the end of 2020.
