Events of The Burning Man Festival move to virtual Multiverse (video)


Coronavirus epidemic makes adjustmentsin almost all spheres of human activity. Many exhibitions and presentations of new devices have already been canceled and transferred online. A message came about the transition to the virtual world of the traditional Burning Man 2020 festival, scheduled for the period from August 30 to September 7. The organizers announced that the event will be held in the multiverse online format.

The Burning Man Festival takes place in Nevada,where in the desert for a few days a town called Black Rock is being created. Tens of thousands of visitors and fans of free creativity flock to the desert to present their ideas and get acquainted with new trends in art.

According to the organizers, the decision onthe cancellation of the real festival was not easy for them. However, the health of Burning Man fans, workers and residents from Nevada comes to the fore in the face of a life threat. Nevertheless, enthusiasts have announced their intention to host the Virtual Black Rock virtual festival in the Multiverse, and this will become the trend of 2020.

A concept is being created and the foundations of the Multiverse are being developed. The organizers do not rule out mistakes and failures, but believe that the festival will survive even in such difficult conditions in 2020.

It has also been announced that everyone will be able toreturn the money paid for tickets to attend the events of the real Burning Man festival. However, the organizers hope that the Burning Man traditions will continue in the future, and after the pandemic, thousands of fans will return to Black Rock. Of course, a change of plans will lead to layoffs and reductions, but the organizers hope for sponsors and charity of the participants.


Burning Man project plans include releasemagazines and the publication of books dedicated to the festival, in addition, to the extent possible, grants and prizes will be provided for artists and musicians.
