Elon Musk: Tesla Roadster will become a flying car

Earlier it was reported that the car will be able to accelerate to 100 km / h in a record 1.9 seconds, and the maximum speed will reach 400 km / h. Elon Musk, known for his seemingly crazy ideas, in 2018 talked about a certain package of SpaceX options that will equip an electric car with ten small jet engines, which will most likely give it the ability to fly. He didn't seem to be joking.

On a message from one of the users with a picture of a flying car, he replied that the expected by many electric car with sporting capabilities will be able to do just "something like this." Of course, Musk's interlocutors took his tweet as a joke, but the entrepreneur assured him that it was true. In any case, the entrepreneur's earlier loud statements regarding cars have often turned out to be true.

He explained that to lift the car into the aira special system from Space X will be used, installed in place of the two rear seats. The official release of the Tesla Roadster is expected in 2020, however, there is a possibility that the release of the configuration with jet engines will be delayed. Initially, Elon Musk said that the main task of jet equipment is to increase the speed of acceleration and deceleration, as well as to improve the passage of sharp turns.
