Elon Musk raised prices for all Tesla electric cars (2 photos)

Tesla, founded by Elon Musk, has raised the price of its electric cars for the second time in a month. Pricing now starts at $46,990 for a base Model 3, up $2,000 from before.

The twin-engined, all-wheel-drive Model 3 is now $2,500 more ($54,490) and the Performance version is $3,000 more ($61,990).

Model Y prices start at $62,990.which is $2,000 higher than before. Most significantly, however, the Model X has risen in price, which now costs $ 10,000 more - $ 114,990.

Although Tesla raised prices at night, quietly, thisthe move was not unexpected. On Twitter, Elon Musk hinted at the possibility of a price hike. He said that both Tesla and SpaceX are seeing "significant inflationary pressures on raw materials and logistics."
