Nissan has announced a partnership withPole to Pole founder and adventurer Chris Ramsey, which will take the Ariya electric car from the North Pole to the South Pole. The length of the route will be just over 27,000 km.

Nissan is planning a trip from the Arctic North Pole through North and South America to Antarctica.

Previously, Ramsey drove his own NissanLEAF over 10,000 miles from the UK to Siberia in the Mongolian Rally, becoming the first person to complete the trip in an electric car. The current expedition will pass through 14 countries, and the distance will already be 17,000 miles (27,359 km).

As Ramsey notes, he and his team will have toexperience some of the most extreme yet beautiful places in the world, including snowy glacial landscapes at -30°C, mountain climbs, hot sticky jungles and desert dunes.

The journey from pole to pole will becarried out on a modified Nissan Ariya e-4ORCE, which will include a specially reinforced appearance, as well as upgraded wheels and tires. Such cars will make 2 pieces, for safety net and emergency situations.

If this venture succeeds, then Ramsey will become the first person in the world to drive such a route, not to mention electric traction.
