NASA specialists presented the Exobiology Extant Life Surveyor (EELS) project, a snake-like robot designed for tunnel warfare.
The device was first presented at a technology conference in Maryland. At the presentation held then, the snake-like robot successfully overcame all the tunnels filled with ice.
The developers of EELS claim that the “serpent” can move equally effectively on ice, sand, water and rocks – where standard systems are often useless.
