Its height is about 43 cm, the width does not matter much, since a vacuum cleaner with a diameter of 35 cm drives into the station. But the depth here, together with the robot, is about 46 cm. In addition, do not forget that you need to leave a small space for the cable behind, although a couple of centimeters.

In general, the device has impressive dimensions,therefore, you will need to consider the location of the station and the vacuum cleaner. Another important parameter is the empty space to the right and left of the self-cleaning system. The fact is that the vacuum cleaner needs a place where various maneuvers will be performed: step back about 30 cm to the right and left, free up about one and a half meters for the device to enter the station.

At the top of the station there is a hatch wherea bag is installed to collect dust and dirt. The bags are pretty cool: when installed, the garbage inlet is open, but as soon as you pull the bag out of the tray, it is blocked by a cardboard partition. Really convenient, because when moving the bag, the contents will not fall out.

The volume of the bag is about 2.5 liters. It takes about a month. But it all depends on the pollution of the place of cleaning. For me, it was about a fifth full after 4 days of daily cleaning of the floors.

In any case, it is convenient, because you do not need to open the compartment every time, unfasten the container with garbage, shake it out, rinse it, and so on. Moreover, it is desirable to do this after each cleaning.

You cannot turn off the station with any button. It is always on standby or charge work. There is an indicator, but it stops glowing 10 minutes after the vacuum cleaner is installed on the station.

At the bottom of the station there are two hatches through which anddebris is sucked out of the vacuum cleaner container. This happens at the end of the cleaning: the robot gets on the station, the cleaning turns on (the volume level is about the same as that of a classic vacuum cleaner, after 20 seconds it turns off.

The quality of the garbage disposal is excellent. If anything remains, then only minor grains of dust and a few long hairs.

Appearance of the vacuum cleaner

The device is made in a classic round shapewith a "turret" on top. Color white, material - glossy plastic (top), matte plastic - side parts. Below is a more porous black plastic.

Deebot T9+ does not have any design features. Everything is normal and familiar.

On the top of the device there is a laser rangefinder, which helps to build a map of the area and identify objects, so that later they can not be driven into or collided with.

On the front is a dToF module for accurate reading of objects. The technology itself is called TrueDetect 3D 2.0.

Unlike other systems, recognitionobjects, it is TrueDetect 3D 2.0 that understands small objects such as wires. Naturally, in addition to hardware, Ecovacs also has software called TrueMapping 2.0.

It analyzes the terrain and gives commands for a clear course for the robot to move around the terrain. Naturally, these technologies allow the robot to drive in complete darkness.

Of course, the T9+ has sensors on different parts of the bottom of the case to prevent the vacuum cleaner from falling if it drives onto steps or high ledges.

There is a backlit power button on the top. The upper part of the vacuum cleaner is equipped with a cover, under which the following elements are located:

On the reverse side is a universal slot for a cradle with an air freshener. A few words about him.

Included.It lies in a beautiful box and is a cartridge with a solid freshener - something like Bref balls. Installed in a special niche in the cradle. At the bottom there is a small cooler that blows flavored air out of the body of the vacuum cleaner.

In my case there was a cartridge called WildBluebell (wild bell). As far as I know, there is such a perfume for women - Wild Bluebell Jo Malone London. The smell is reminiscent of the aroma of green tea, there are powdery notes. Completely unobtrusive, light, pleasant, rather thin. The manufacturer claims that the freshener fights animal odors. Well, I only have a six-year-old daughter who still identifies as a dog and sometimes a monkey. I don't think it counts.

There are three fragrances in total: regular Wild Bluebell and separately available Bergamot&Lavender, Cucumber&Oak.

In the vacuum cleaner system, this function is called air cleaning. But it's more like an air freshener.

In addition, you can freshen the air at any time,that is, not only when the vacuum cleaner is doing its job. Go to the application and turn on the necessary option: the robot activates the cooler - and the room becomes fresh, like in the resorts of Sochi in November.

There are two brushes on the bottom of the robot, whichrake dust and debris into the main roll brush, which in turn sends the debris into the container. Quite a familiar design. There are also two large openings covered with plastic "doors" that lead to a garbage collection area. Actually, through them the self-cleaning station sucks out the dirt.

The robot has a speaker. The device communicates with you in Russian (without an accent). The volume is adjustable in the app.

The wheels of the robot are large, the clearance is large.This allows the vacuum cleaner to easily move over thresholds. I have two of these in my apartment, and they are quite high - about 15 mm. Engine power is also important. I tried to stop the device by loading various objects from above. The weight of about 4-5 kilograms was given to the gadget with difficulty. So the power of the Deebot T9+ is decent.

In work

I think this is the most subjective point in the review. How effectively a robot vacuum cleaner cleans is an open question, since a lot depends on the amount of dirt, its structure, volume, and so on.

It seemed to me that the T9 + copes with itstask no worse than vertical portable vacuum cleaners. There is something to compare. Of course, it makes no sense to cite large corded vacuum cleaners as an example. Yes, I agree, they are much more efficient in their work, but this is a completely different class.

Separately, it should be said that in the automaticEcovacs mode itself determines the suction power. For example, on parquet or linoleum, the power is slightly lower than when the device cleans the surface with pile.

In any case, you can choose one of four modes through the application: quiet, normal, maximum and maximum +.

I liked that the robot perfectly recognizesobjects just by using TrueDetect 3D technology, which uses dToF. Such a sensor allows you to save battery power, is less prone to errors when reading the depth of the picture. I have not had cases when the vacuum cleaner “ate” some kind of toy or cable, ran into an object even of a miniature size. That is, the device can be completely let go to work in the children's room. But here you have to be careful: all sorts of small shoes of princesses, dice, kitchen sets in a dollhouse, and so on, I would still put away.

And with Deebot T9 +, everything is much more interesting. Here is a knob, there is a setting, here is a switch.

First, you can choose the area to clean.A useful feature, since it is not always necessary to clean the entire apartment. To do this, the vacuum cleaner automatically recognizes the zones and calls them rooms by default. He found me as many as 7 rooms, they are also zones.

Secondly, there is an automatic mode. The gadget itself drives and cleans the room: it determines the suction power, the speed of movement, and so on.

Thirdly, there is a user mode. You specify the places in the form of a rectangular zone where the robot will “roll” and not leave the “cage”.

The vacuum cleaner can clean zones once or twice. The air freshener turns on or off. There is also a cleaning schedule. In the settings you can find out about the wear of accessories.

Another cool feature is the construction of a three-dimensionalcards. After the robot vacuum cleaner completes the construction of the usual two-dimensional one, you have the right to add tables, chairs, beds, cabinets of different sizes made in volume to it. The collection of items is small, but conveys the essence. The 3D map does not carry any semantic load - it's just a funny thing: you can watch the robot in the virtual three-dimensional space of your apartment.

Full charge at normal suction levelenough for 2 hours and 40 minutes! At the maximum level of suction, the battery lasts for 1.5 hours. Which is also a lot. This time is enough to clean my apartment three times.

If you have wet cleaning, then the time is reduced by about two times. Apparently, a special block that moves back and forth at high speed consumes a lot.

Charges for about 6 hours. Perhaps the manufacturer is simply sparing the battery of the robot. However, the long charge time is offset by the long battery life.

When charging, the power button lights up smoothly and goes out with a blue light. The light is dim, not annoying at night. After the battery is charged, the LED will turn off.

Impression

If earlier I argued that a robot vacuum cleaner shouldbuy exclusively with automatic mapping, now I am absolutely sure that it is necessary to take not only with lidar, but also with a self-cleaning system.

In this case, you get a really convenienta unit that will almost never need maintenance: it turned itself on, cleaned the apartment according to the schedule, drove to the base, gave the garbage to the container, charged up and - again into battle. And you can shake out the garbage bag or replace it after a week or two if your room is very dirty. Thus, you get a new level of service.

It is clear that you can always pick up a broom and walk around the rooms without these robots of yours.

The device has only one minus.And it is logical: if you want a flagship device, pay money. The cost of Ecovacs Deebot T9 + is about 60,000 rubles. True, one must understand that the kit also includes a self-cleaning station, which is, in fact, a small vacuum cleaner with a dust collector.

Forgot about it, like a bad dream.
