The latest DJI drone is officially unveiled today. It's called Avata and the company says it's
It can hover like a traditional dronespeed up, zoom in and out in tight spaces, and stop "in a split second". If he lands upside down, the new turtle mode allows him to roll over and take off again. The novelty has three modes. Normal, in which the Avata operates similarly to other DJI drones, hovering in place using satellite navigation or visual positioning systems. Manual Mode (only with DJI FPV Remote Controller 2) is a mode where the user has full control and an immersive FPV flight experience. Sport mode is a hybrid of the other two, offering some of the dynamic driving capabilities that come with manual mode, as well as some of the key safety features of normal mode. DJI Avata is available now from the DJI online store for $629 by itself or $1,388 bundled with DJI Goggles 2 and a DJI motion controller. It can also be purchased with the DJI FPV Goggles V2 and DJI Motion Controller for $1,168. A kit containing two batteries and a battery charging hub will cost another $279.
